Leontien Zijlaard-van Moorsel's Hour attemptClose but no cigar. Leontien Zijlaard-van Moorsel made an attempt on Jeannie Longo's mark of 45.094 kilometres on the Manchester velodrome. She fell short by over 1.5 kilometres, but did ride out the whole hour.
BMC San Francisco Grand PrixProbably the USA's biggest single-day race this year, the San Francisco GP saw a late attack by George Hincapie take the win for US Postal while an estimated 350,000 people lined the route to catch a glimpse of his team-mate triple Tour winner Lance Armstrong.
