Logan Cycling Club - Sizzling Summer Series

The first Race of the four race summer series conducted by the Logan Cycling Club was held on Sunday 6 January 2002.

With a good A Grade turn out it was going to be a tough 60 minute plus two lap race. An immediate attack by Flight Centre was brought back and then a counter attack was luanched by Keith Lavelle (Ffast) and Marty Pearce (Harding European) which was joined by seven other riders that inlcuded Mark Roland, David Betts (Treasury Casino), Bart Duraj, Craig Sunaders (Merida) Matthew Newlands (Victors).

With all major teams represented the break was let go however Mark Roland came to greif rather early by breaking his chain.
